    Relate mission of CVX-CLC to key elements of Vatican II

    Father General Arturo Sosa has urged members of Christian Life Community (CLC) to define their mission in relation to the key elements of the Second Vatican Council. Father Sosa noted that the Second Vatican Council took seriously the mission of the laity in the Church. He also reminded the CLC members of the importance of involving the youth in the mission of the movement. Youths will ensure continuity of the mission of community in different parts of the world.


    Inauguration of the Jubilee Year of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga

    Father General Arturo Sosa inaugurated the Jubilee Year of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga at the Church of Saint Ignatius in Rome, on 9 March. About 100 priests and concelebrated with Father General, and a large congregation participated in the Mass. The Aloysian Jubilee Year will run from 9 March 2018 to 9 March 2019.     JRS: Seven years later, Syria still needs peace

    "Death is falling from the sky, at random... and we are powerless to stop it," laments a Jesuit Refugee Service staff member in Syria. In the midst of precarious conditions, JRS continues to respond to the needs of the victims of war in Damascus and other parts of Syria that have recently been drawn into the conflict. The situation on the ground is very dangerous: Afrin, an area that was already hosting a very high number of displaced people, is now a place from which thousands of people are fleeing, and with nowhere to go. In eastern Ghouta, hundreds of thousands of people are trapped under fire. Read more...



    Leadership and Governance: A Call to Reconcile and Recreate

    The Secretariat for Social Justice and Ecology (SJES) has recently published the 125th edition of Promotio Iustitiae. The current edition focuses on Leadership and Governance. The authors are quite realistic and challenging in their approach and give valuable suggestions for the leadership and governance to become "personal, spiritual and apostolic."     Jesuit Yearbook 2018

    The Jesuit Yearbook 2018 is now available online in English, French, Spanish, Germany, and Italian



    Father General has appointed:


    - Fr Milan Zust (SVN) as Socius to the Delegate for the Interprovincial Houses in Rome (DIR). Father Zust was born in 1967, entered the Society in 1986, and was ordained in 1996. He will take over from Father Ambrose Vedam (GUJ), later in the year.
