CICS to organize an intensive study conference on theology and communication (Rome)

The Gregorian University's Centro Interdisciplinare sulla Comunicazione Sociale (CICS) will sponsor a five-day intensive study conference at Ariccia near Rome, Sept 7 –12, 2007. The conference will bring together a select international group of theologians and communicators who will present papers examining the theme, "Rethinking theology and ministry in the light of today's developments in communications." Presentations with converge in the following three areas: Theology and communications: the meeting points or convergence between theology and communications (from the communicators and the theologians points of view); Communications in Formation: Communicative theology or Communication of theology, communication in formation aiming at a meaningful ministry; and the role of communications within the church and for her ministry. This conference continues the work that used to happen at Villa Caveletti. Like those earlier meetings of theologians and communicators, this year's conference also aims at publishing a book of the collected papers.
