British Province launches new online journal

Peter Scally SJ is going for a digital trifecta when he launches a new online journal called "Thinking Faith." Scally created the Pray-as-you-go site which has drawn large numbers of people to download the daily audio prayer meditations for portable music players. Earlier he collaborated with Fr. Alan McGuckian in starting Sacred Space, which has now grown to 20 different languages. This new venture is an effort to do an online cultural journal to give the British province a space in the national dialogue.

Bishop John Arnold will push the button to make the site live during a launch event at Farm Street Parish Hall in London on Jan 18 at 6.30pm; Arnold is the Bishop responsible for Communications in England and Wales.

The new journal will feature a "rolling" format which means that it will publish articles on a regular basis but not on a fixed schedule. There will be no weekly or monthly "issue" but articles will go up one at a time. Initial plans call for 2 or 3 articles per week. Readers will be able to see it at www.thinkingfaith.org
