Fr. Patxi Álvarez

 

 
Fr Patxi Álvarez SJ

Fr Álvarez is the Director of the Social Justice and Ecology Secretariat. He worked for ten years at the Jesuit non-governmental organisation Alboan, in Bilbao, Spain, and collaborated in the training of lay people on Ignatian mission and identity. He also took part in the Apostolic planning of his Province (Loyola) as its coordinator. Through his frequent travels he animates the work of Jesuits and partners engaged in the social sector. He is also the editor of Promotio Iustititiae, the quarterly online journal published by the Secretariat.

 

Ms. Tina Negri

 

 
Tina Negri

Ms Negri provides administrative support and maintains the data base of the translators. She arranges for the translation of the articles of Promotio and of other material into the four languages English, French, Spanish and Italian as well as maintaining relationship with the four language editors. She also organises the required infrastructure for meetings hosted by SJES like the Annual Meeting of the Coordinators.
She was born in the United Kingdom but has lived and worked in Italy for over 20 years. She is bilingual English and Italian.

 

Ms. Uta Sievers

 

 
Uta Sievers

Ms Sievers is the Officer for Advocacy Networks and Communications of the Secretariat. She animates the five Ignatian Advocacy Networks (www.ignatianadvocacy.org), providing practical support, training, information, reporting and guidance. She also writes and publishes the monthly electronic bulletin of the office, Headlines, and is responsible for the content of the website. Together with her colleagues, she organises the Annual Meeting of the Social Apostolate Coordinators and other international meetings in Rome and abroad.
Ms Sievers is originally from Germany but has lived in the United Kingdom from 2001 to 2006, where she has worked with refugees and homeless people. She is fluent in German, English and Italian.
